Love this place. We’ve been coming for years. Their food is great. My wife always gets the crispy fried noodles. I try different dishes every time and I keep coming back. Their manager is excellent. Service is casual , ambience is not the best but it’s not bad. Prices are decent.
I think this place is overrated. I have heard from many people that their quality has changed a lot over time and that they are not as good anymore, but I just ignored due to the high reviews that I have seen. This is the first place we decided to try out after arriving at Vegas. I was hoping for a good dinner to regain my energy after a long drive, but was met with a less than average service. The entire time we were there, the employee who served us looked and acted like he was forced to work against his will.
On to the dishes, you can identify the flavor profile of a Vietnamese restaurant through some particular dishes. You order Pho to see how they make the Pho broth, the rice dish with grilled meat to see how they season their meat, and the Hu tieu kho to see how they mix their noodle sauce and their toppings, my mother also order their Bun bo Hue but I forgot to take photo of it. Their flavor profile is above average but less than good for the Pho and Bun bo Hue broths. Not enough aromatic flavor but then salty. The good thing is their grilled meat, but such a shame it’s not served with broken rice. Their hu tieu kho is above average but I have had much better Hu tieu kho before.
They do have great space and nice interior decor. We were seated quickly after arriving.
Overall I am glad we tried this place out to check it off the list, but I will not return if I ever come back to Vegas.
I used to love this restaurant, but the amount of food you get for the price has ridiculous changed. I ordered a large pho with Crab Rangoons. The Crab Rangoons are literally 1 inch. The pho noodles didn't even coveelr the bottom of my bowl and the amount of brisket is so little, it's speechless. I used to cut the noodles in half. I understand the price increase but the restaurant more than doubled the price and cut the amount in half is just sad. I won't be leaving any more reviews because I rather not go than to leave a bad review for what was once my favorite restaurant.
First time eating here; there was no one at the front desk when we arrived at 10pm. Didn’t know that we were to write our own names on the waitlist, until we saw others writing their names without hesitation. (We are not from Vegas so I guess this is a norm here?). We got seated fairly quickly considering there were 5 parties ahead of us. Ordered pork and egg congee and pork and egg roll vermicelli salad. The congee was just ok but the vermicelli was delicious. The grilled pork was very tasty. The servers were efficient and experienced because they handled many tables smoothly.
Pho is the best broth I have ever had, but also the most expensive. The one complaint I have is that they bring everything out at the same time. So when you get your appetizer, after taking 1 bite, here comes your hot dishes.
