We went here for Christmas Eve because some of my cousins like the pho, which was good, and my husband and I had some "clay pot" dishes, but all in all it was just ok. Let me start with the positives: the place was clean, the brown rice was hearty with a nice, nutty flavor, and the white rice was good. The beef pho was good, the chicken in my "clay pot" was tender, the hot tea & hot coffee was good, the atmosphere was lively, and servers were friendly, but... The negatives: everything was WAY too salty! I've been to other Vietnamese/pho places where the food was NOT this salty and was very good. The chicken curry and seafood "clay pot" dinners we got looked like Chinese seafood delight and chicken with vegetables. Where were the clay pots? Seriously, I was excited because I thought we were going to get food sizzling in pots, like another restaurants I've been to. This food wasn't even sizzling, as described in the menu. My husband actually sent his seafood "clay pot" back and got the beef pho instead. As for my dish, I guess it tasted like curry, but I'm not sure. Moving on, people cleaning up around us were tossing things in bins so loudly as they were clearing off tables, we thought they were dropping things on the floor or breaking glass. I also thought everything was way too overpriced for what we got. We ended up having a good time regardless, but we could barely stomach our leftovers because they were so salty, so we threw the rest of it away. I do have one last positive thing to add: they were super nice about letting one of my cousins sit at a table for six by herself until the rest of us got there because she wasn't feeling well. The man that seated her even came by a few minutes later to ask if she was okay. They do have good customer service. ❤️
Overall, we are not very happy with this establishment. Foods are very mediocre with the broths being warmed instead of hot. The ice coffee that costed $8 is full of iced instead of actual coffee.
Waiters and waitresses are rushing us. Not recommend this place based on my experience here.
You're in Vegas, it's late, you won a bunch of money and you're looking for someplace that's going to satisfy that winning craving, where do you go?? You go right here to Pho Kim Long. It's nice and comfortable inside once you're seated, there's a lot of seating for bigger groups so the capacity holds a lot. They've got a pretty wide variety of things on their menu, I only have so big of a stomach but I got the spring rolls with sauce to start and they were thick, plentiful and very fresh. You can tell their ingredients are great quality. I got the combination pho, from the photo I don't need to say any more... but I will. The broth was very nicely put together, not too salty at all. You have the choice to add your sides on the plate should you feel necessary, and l'd ask for some chili oil/paste on the side to put in as you feel necessary. There was a lot of meat, with every bite actually. Everyone else in my party was very satisfied with service and timing and food quality, and like i said, they're open decently late so give it a try for some late night comfort food when it's all chilly out
Reason for visiting:
Date/time of visit: ~9:30 AM, Sunday morning
Parking: free; in the lot shared with other businesses
Party size: 3
Environment/ambience: busy; one of the few Pho places open before 10 AM. No TVs; there's a sign up sheet in the front when you come; just sign up and they'll call you when available. No one is at the front to sign you in. Bathroom was relatively clean.
Service: was ok; they're either understaffed or too crowded. They came by dropped off our order and they leave. Friendly though.
Food: had the charbroiled pork chop with rice and pork side. Was going to add a sunny side egg but they wanted to charge $4.50 for one egg! one egg! My order was ~$17. Had a lemonade too. Ask for a refill then to-go cup; free drink to go 😀
Cost: ~$75 with tip.
Would I go back (yes/no): 50/50; I would go back if there was nowhere else open.
Very accommodating. We had a party of 50 and they were able to get a spot for us all to sit together. (We called ahead to make a reservation) The food came out quickly and was so good! The servers worked great together. Would recommend and would come back.
